For all those people who think they can’t sing or have been labelled ‘tone deaf’, from those who ‘mime’ in the back row, to those who belt it out while their friends and family cringe.

Open Song World Music Choir

Open Song – evening

Lose yourself in the crowd and find yourself in the collective sound, Singing Joyful rhythmic songs from Africa, Rich dark harmonies from Israel and Eastern Europe, Contemporary rock songs and the sweet sounds of the Pacific.

Musicianship

Before each choir, there is an optional 30 minute musicianship class based in the Kodály approach. Using an aural and kinesthetic approach, through games, songs and movement, we develop our musicianship – reading, writing, and understanding, as well as foundational skills in keeping time, singing in tune etc.
